Welcome to Healing with Hypnotherapy in East London/Essex
Thank you for visiting my website and choosing to have hypnotherapy in East London/Essex
Choosing to have hypnotherapy is an important decision for you to take.  You have decided to take that step and I will do everything  to make you feel at ease along the way.

Hypnotherapy can treat a number of issues including pain, weight problems, exam stress, goal achievements, fear of public speaking, fear of what other people think, bad habits, sleep problems and many many more.

What is hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a perfectly natural and focused state of mind that enhances an individual's concentration and increases their responsiveness to helpful and positive suggestion.  The conscious mind 'quietens down' allowing access to the subconscious mind so that beneficial changes in thoughts, feelings and behaviour can be made.  In fact, we have all already experienced hypnosis of some sort, whether it is becoming so engrossed in a TV programme, film or book that we lose track of time, listening to music, daydreaming or even driving a car, whereby we are so familiar with a route that when we arrive at our destination we can't remember how we got there just that we have arrived!

How does hypnotherapy work
Hypnotherapy works by using relaxation techniques and positive suggestions that will allow access to the subconscious mind in order to make the necessary changes.

Will I lose control during hypnotherapy
Absolutely not! no one  can be hypnotised against their will.  Your subconscious mind will reject any suggestion that is not appropriate for you.  It is not stage hypnosis and you will always be in control.

Does hypnotherapy work
Yes, hypnotherapy can be very effective in achieving long lasting change in your life.  It is important to state that change happens because you want it to and it does require commitment on your part.  It is a collaborative process between you and the therapist so trust and rapport with your therapist is vital in achieving the hypnotic state.

How many sessions will I need
This will depend on the type of problem you have and the progress that is made.  Everybody is different; some people can notice change after their first therapy session and for others it is a gradual change.  On average 3-6 sessions are required unless it is for smoking cessation which is one session lasting two hours.  The first session is the initial assessment; it is important that I find out as much as possible about you and your problem and the root cause of what you are experiencing so that I can tailor your treatment plan to your needs.  Therefore, it is unlikely that hypnotherapy will be carried out during this session.

How often do I need to see the hypnotherapist
Usually once a week depending on your circumstances and your progress.
